Matt Cohen is an accomplished wildlife and nature photographer based in New Hampshire. Passionate about photography since childhood, he has developed his skills across a range of subjects, including wildlife, landscapes, photojournalism, nature observation, and sports photography. Matt is inspired by the landscapes, wildlife, changing light, and fleeting moments found in the natural world. He is particularly drawn to images that reveal behavior and personality in wildlife or offer a distinctive perspective on a landscape or familiar scene. Matt also offers photography workshops covering a range of topics, including nature and wildlife photography, basic digital photography, and smartphone photography, with an emphasis on practical techniques and helping participants build confidence behind the camera.
Matt’s award-winning photography has been exhibited throughout New Hampshire, including in extended library exhibitions across the state. Matt is also active in wildlife conservation. As a member of the Loon Preservation Committee, he helps monitor and protect New Hampshire’s loons during the breeding season, and he volunteers with NH Audubon to help track the nesting progress of the state’s bald eagles.
